Vela is a nightclub for lesbians, queers, nonbinary, bisexuals, transgender, & gays.
Vela is the place where you enjoy a drink (okay, maybe more than one, along with a few Somersbys and a handful of shots), dance by the bar, attempt foosball despite waning coordination, engage in friendly clothing swaps, steal kisses in quiet corners, accidentally spill your drink, smoke a few too many cigarettes, and linger until the early hours of the morning without being ushered out. They boast some of the city’s most charming and inviting surroundings, and regardless of the time, the ambiance never fails to impress.
In addition, Vela hosts a diverse array of cultural events. They organize poetry and literature evenings with a queer twist, and on other occasions, they invite you to savor live music performances. Vela is also home to the renowned “Nam Nam Nam Namse,” where a lineup of talented DJs serves up electrifying electronic music to keep the energy alive.
