About GIRLS TOWN
Girls Town: Celebrating FLINTA* Diversity in Nightlife.
Girls Town stands as a beacon of celebration and safety for the FLINTA* community, hosting parties multiple times a year in Berlin, Hamburg, and Vienna. This unique event series is dedicated to women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, transgender, bisexual, and a-gender individuals, creating a space where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated.
Love is Love: A Core Philosophy
At the heart of Girls Town is the philosophy that “Love is Love.” This inclusive approach welcomes a diverse spectrum of sexual orientations, including homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, and heterosexual women. The event series has attempted to integrate men as friends and companions of guests, but emphasizes that flirtatious behavior from cis men towards guests is not in line with the event’s ethos.
Music and Atmosphere
Girls Town typically features two dance floors, catering to a variety of musical tastes. One floor is dedicated to pop, charts, and hip-hop, while the smaller floor offers a space for selected sounds. The line-up is carefully curated to enhance the celebratory and inclusive atmosphere.
A History of Inclusivity and Fun
Since its inception in 2006, Girls Town has evolved from its beginnings at Kino International in Berlin to collaborating with various clubs like Sage Beach Club, Haubentaucher, and SO36. The aim is to provide a safe space for female queers and non-binary individuals in the nightlife scene, focusing on female and queer visibility in club culture while ensuring a fun and liberating experience for all attendees.
